Job Vacancy - IMHC Director
The IMHC invites applications for the position of Director from talented and committed individuals who have the skills to lead the development of the IMHC and to implement an ambitious plan to influence reform of mental health in Ireland.
Working closely with the Board, the principal duties of the Director will include developing local and national engagement with relevant bodies/organisations and membership of the IMHC, implementing IMHC campaigns and establishing effective organisation and management systems.
The successful candidate will be expected to have:
Proven track record as a successful leader who can demonstrate vision, empathetic leadership and effective advocacy
- Ability to represent IMHC with a range of audiences and to build effective relationships with political, service user and professional groups
- Commitment to the vision and values of the IMHC with the passion and ability to mobilise members at local and national level to influence mental health reform
- Knowledge of policy environment in health, social change or related areas
- Self starter with demonstrative managements skills and flexibility to lead a start up organisation
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Standard office ICT skills and excellent writing skills
