Dear ...
There is an urgent need to improve and prioritise mental health in Ireland. 25% of people in Ireland will experience a mental health difficulty at some point in their lives. One in four families have at least one member with a mental health difficulty.
People who experience mental health difficulties are more likely to end up socially and economically disadvantaged. They are more at risk of human rights violations and of discrimination and stigmatisation. They need your help!
The focus of the campaign at http://www.imhc.ie is to call on all political representatives to prioritise mental health. I believe that it is unfair that Ireland’s mental health expenditure dropped from 13% in 1984 to just 7.3% of the national health budget in 2004.
I am now asking you as a Senator to signal your support for the broad aims of this campaign by emailing your endorsement to info@imhc.ie.

Yours Sincerely,
(Your details will be included here in the email to your representative.)
